Family: Children

On the breakdown of a relationship it is in the child or children's best interests that you and your partner reach an amicable agreement for the care and support of your children.

Typical issues and questions we advise on are:

  • Where will the children live?
  • How often will the non-resident parent see the children?
  • What are the best arrangements for ensuring contact works well?
  • Schooling issues, religion, medical treatment and holidays
  • Financial arrangements and support
  • Parental responsibility
  • Moving abroad

We will work with you to try and reach an agreement through negotiation or mediation, but if this does not work, we will advise on making an application to the court.
