If you are caught speeding or driving with excess of alcohol, we will advise you on penalties and magistrates court procedures. If your speed limits are more than: If you are caught with excess of alcohol of 35 micrograms per 100 millilitres of breath or more (this is equivalent to 80 milligrams per 100 millilitres of blood or 107 milligrams per 100 millilitres of urine) you may be disqualified from driving. You should immediately consult a solicitor to advise you about your legal rights. The Legal Aid and Duty Solicitor Scheme is not available for these types of offences. This means that even if you qualified for Legal Aid, you would not be able to use it to defend this type of case. You can make an appointment with us to advise you what to do in those situations. We will also advice you about any other road traffic or criminal offence. If you require representation at court we will usually be able to agree a fixed fee for representation on your behalf.
